CreativeYour home as a gingerbread house, from a photo
Use the photo I've attached of our home. Rebuild it as a handmade gingerbread house, as if a skilled baker copied it for a holiday contest.
Keep the architecture recognizably ours: the same shape, roofline, number and placement of windows, doors, porch, chimney and garage, and the same color layout. Only the materials change: gingerbread walls with a baked texture, a roof of overlapping cookie shingles or sliced almonds, royal icing piped along every edge and window frame, icing icicles along the eaves, candy-cane porch posts, gumdrop shrubs and a path of chocolate stones. The windows are poured sugar glass, glowing warm as if a light is on inside.
Set it on a board dusted with powdered-sugar snow, with a pretzel-stick fence and pine sprigs at the edges. Shoot it like food photography: a 50mm lens at a three-quarter angle, soft window light, a cozy kitchen blurred behind.
